Hi Mary,

Man, going back east is so tiring. Had satey with Philip right after a Japanese lunch with Asnimar. Met her hubby Zaki too.

The satey behind the Capitol cinema is still very good. Next door to that they are doing grilled fish, same style as the satey. All kinds of fish. Must try it next trip.

This one (attached) is a fishhead restaurant in Kolombong.

Wah, Pete, seems like you spent most of your time in KK eating! Wicked, lah, to send us all those movies of you guys eating delicious food while we can only drool over our computers! Now we know, we must all start our slimming programs before the big birthday bash in KK next year! The way the ASS73 gp goes, we will surely put on at least 5 kg in 3 days!

Today's onslaught of movie clips and large pic files from Rita must have surely busted quite a few mailboxes! Even for us on Broadband the servers got a bot overworked.....

Mary,

The food was going down virtually non-stop. The “Hi-Tea” on Saturday at the Promenade hotel was probably the most damaging. I must have had over 200 sticks of satey. The beef satey was so wickedly tender it tastes like a host of angels copulating on your tongue. Attached is the most presentable pictures before the makan. After that, we looked like a bunch of old buffaloes staggering out of a mud pool.

Danny,

Yea, it was quite a trip. The mobile never stopped ringing and we’re off to the next thingee. Besides, I had to squeeze in visits to the aunts and uncles, and my mum’s place. Also managed to drive up to Karambunai Golf Resort which is simply paradise. From Inanam upwards to Sepangar Bay area is a total revamp. Couldn’t recognise most of it.

The lunch with Asnimar was at the Jap restaurant at Hyatt. Her husband was having a board meeting of the Sabah Ports Authority next door in a private room. We were later invited to join them – all big shot Datuks and Tan Sris. Our lunch started before twelve and finished around 3pm, when Philip Chhoa showed up and we went off for satey behind the Capitol Cinema.

Yea, the sista had a whale of a time too.

Wow!!!
You guys sure had a great time!!!
And all those dishes... oh, pure torture!!!
Love the roving reporter approach, getting people to speak when all they wanna do is EAT!!
LOL!!

But, some are faces missing? Philip Chhoa, James Wong, Anny Chin?

Danny,

Philip had to rush off to bed with a client in Lahad Datuk or some jungle somewhere till the weekend. Strictly business intercourse, I was told.

Had a fabulous dim sum lunch with Anny Chin separately on Thursday... Or was it Friday. I can’t remember. She’s in the midst of renovating her mansion so next ReU would be ideal time for a house warming.

Now, Sir James... He preferred the company of exotic young gals (as he puts it “younger than Evelyn’s daughter”). I was shit scared of getting the rotan, so I gave it a miss.

My word!!

Great that you managed to meet up with Anny as well!
You've done in days what probably takes others years to achieve!!

I love the way you dig for responses from Philip!!! LOL!!
That's the public rottan you are referring to, I guess!! Or was James just taunting you while you were in the shower? Ha, ha, ha!!

I also heard that Asnimar was disappointed that she could not make the KYC on Friday but she had commitments.
Is this just a warm up routine for next July?

Danny

Danny,

What do you mean warm up routine? This has been a great ReU for me. Only you didn’t come. Heh heh.

Makan with Anny has been outstanding for some time now – so it was good I finally managed to get her after a few calls. Dim sum was probably the best thing as we could take our time to make small talk.

Yea, Philip just vanished into the jungles after the satey . He did call when we were having hi-tea on Saturday – he wouldn’t speak to me (posing as Evelyn) but only to Su Lee (she carries more weight, ya).

Asnimar is always very, very busy but if you arrange with her beforehand you can get her to enjoy a meal and chit-chat. She is the coolest Datin I have ever met.
