That is a bummer you not being there but don't worry, there is always next year. The itinery has been planned by my dad's friends / relatives so this is more of a family visit this time round. Hotels have been booked but I don't have the names yet. Will your mom be there? If she is can you give me a contact number? Would love to say hello to her if she remembers us.
I've never been to Sandakan but that's where my dad started as a teacher etc.. so it will be interesting . I will also be flying to SDK in a Fokker Turboprop plane. It's like going back in time , sounds very scary and exciting at the same time. I may be going to the Orangutan sanctuary and the turtle island?? Have no idea where and what so it will be a very different trip. So anyone been to these places?? Let me know what I'm in for , what to bring, wear???
Peter, I'll be in KL on Aug 28 but only for the day and head for Jpn and home. Are you going to be around? Give me your contact number. I will be visiting my aunt in Petaling Jaya so doubt if I can meet up with you but I will definitely call.
I'm leaving YVR on Aug 14 , first stop HK on the 17 . Do we have any ASS friends there beside Shirley?? Can someone let me know her contact number?
As you can tell, I'm very excited so excuse the email if it sounds like I'm jumping all over the map like a 'monkey'!!
