In July 1999, they came from across the globe. From London, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu... swept across the Rockies and converged on Henry aand Donna's pad (and Pauline's kitchen and Wally's blue library) in Vancouver. From here they left a trail of goodwill spanning the N American Rockies. From Vancouver to Banff, on to Calgary for the Stampede, and down to Seattle just to breathe the same air that Bill Gates inhaled. 7 years later, Tony Roma has yet to make its debut in Kuala Lumpur. But ne'er mind. We did manage to gnaw "yau char gwai" from Chinatown, Vancouver... and beef jerky from kamloomps.
The next bigggie ASS Class of 73 Reunion will be on home turf in Kota Kinabalu commencing weekend of 11th August 2006. For some classmates, it had been a lifetime since we parted in 1973. In that span of 33 years, one could easily have become a grandmother. So we dearly hope to see you this August. Come lah, all is forgiven. (G)
