This article has to be an all time ASS classic by Steuart Chin, a nostalgic piece about Mrs Jayasingh, and ends up with a short reference to the shooting of Germans in Majorca, Spain (sequence from bottom to top as usual):

Dear Ah Lo
Thank you for your generous comment, putting money where your mouth is. I am glad at least you have enjoyed it and I have saved a few really good ones that will bring tears to your eyes from laughing.
Can you shoot the German again with the same intensity as in 1985??? I will take my usual position, standing right behind you and laugh my head off.
See you 6 weeks!!

Dear Steuart Chin,
Bravo, my man! The most outstanding contribution I have read from anyone so far!!!!! I mean that.
If Evelyn publishes this contribution of yours without a word censored (from "on a hot tropical afternoon" onwards), I will contribute cash RM200 towards the fund raising campaign as the sponsor of your article. No strings attached. My offer is good until the day we see the printed magazine.
Best regards and keep it coming!! Others: you don't have to write good English, just be yourelf.
Peter V. Y. Lo

But of course I remember how "shooting Germans" came about in 1985. We went to majorca on this 18-30s Tour group which was essentially a singles pick-up kinda tour. Imagine us mid twenties tetesterone-driven males have never seen so many papayas on a beach before. I bought 3 fake hand grenades (pineapples) which were actually cigarette lighters and was apparently stopped dead in my tracks by the anti-terrorist squad at the airport, made to check in the luggage at gunpoint. The (2nd last) photo suggests why I couldn't remember any of it.
Majorca marked the beginning of the end of bachelorhood. I met d sista soon after that.
