That’s the same justification my boys give for buying DVDs and watching them 30 times over!!!
I don’t mind, but it messes up the clear space environment and drives Sew Lan potty!!!
Not so long ago, I heard someone from the North in England pronounce Films as “Fi-Lems”.
I’d always thought it was an Indian affectation due to the years of British colonial rule.
But maybe it was actually an northern English regional accent??

Danny,
As far as I know the Geordies do say “fi-lem”
They say “fook” and not “fark”
They say “coom” and not “cum”
They also say “coont” and never “c...”... can’t.. Which the Yanks would say “cayant”
So there were these three guys who lived a long time in Newcastle, just came back to KL with their broad Geordie accents, so we called them “Ah Fook”, “Ah Coom” and “Ah Coont”
